Audience Game

OK, gang. One more audience game. Unless you've played in a main or audience game of this eighth episode of Hot Dice, we respectfully ask you sit on your hands and let someone else in on the fun. The question...

On November 8, 2010, at 3:00pm Central, we watched a GSN rerun of "Family Feud". In Fast Money, a member of the winning family was asked to identify "a game you that you play in a swimming pool" and gave the top answer of "Marco Polo". Out of 100 people who were asked the same question in a survey, how many people in the polling group also said "Marco Polo"?

(time passes)

Marco -- Polo -- survey -- SAID!

(ding)

37. And who's the closest?

Erik "Taz" Mokracek       43

It's Erik playing our last audience game of this episode. He'll play it shortly.

======================================================================

Voice guy: The most amazing stories from 75 years of March Madness.
Net Anything to Win -- Saturday night -- only VBS.

======================================================================

Doug: Welcome back to Hot Dice. We're a little short on time -- so we can tell you Erik Mokracek won the right to play our last audience game of the night -- for this prize.

Scarlett: Maid service for a year. (audience applause) That's right, come home to a clean home for the next 52 weeks. Once a week for the next year, maids will come to your place of residence and make it clean. This prize is worth CY$5200.

(more applause)

Doug: And winning maid service for the next year is easy as pi.

Doug: Now pi is the mathematical constant equal to 3.14159 -- and several more digits we didn't have the room to display on the board.

In a moment, D.J. Hamilton will roll one standard dice cube. Before she rolls, you have to determine if her roll will be higher or lower than pi. The numbers 1, 2 and 3 are lower -- making 4, 5 and 6 higher.

Make the right prediction -- and you win the maid service for a year. So -- what will it be -- higher or lower?

Erik: Higher.

Doug: Going with higher. Deej, if the roll is 4, 5 or 6, Erik wins the maid service.

D.J.: All right.

(D.J. rolls)

(strike buzzer; audience groans; BB87 loss cue)

Doug: Ah, darn. A 2. Should've gone lower.

Well, Erik, we can't give you the maid service. But we'll give you pi multiplied by CY$100 as a consolation prize.

Doug: So that CY$314. Maybe we'll throw in a mop, some cleaning solution and a bucket. We definitely throw in our thanks for playing.

Friends, we thank you for watching Hot Dice. Until we have a rematch with Nikolai and Joseph, make it a great day, keep the faith and treasure your loved ones.

(credits roll; end theme plays; audience applause)
