(audience applause)

Doug: Thanks, Scarlett. Welcome back to Hot Dice where..

Doug: ...Will Schmarder has become the first player in our young history to crack the six-figure barrier with CY$100,800. (audience cheers) Michael would like to reach six figures as well. He's already won CY$3200.

Michael, before we start our next game, please tell Mr. and Mrs. Internet and all the ships at sea a little about yourself.

Michael: My name is Michael Clifford. I am from Marlton, New Jersey. I am currently unemployed. I like watching game shows and playing netgames. And Doug, let me just say that it's great to be here on High Roll...er, I mean Hot Dice.

(audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: Of -- course -- we had 4/20 day recently. We could've been "High Rollers" of a different sort. (audience laughs) Just sayin'. In any event, let's set up for a new game.

(ding)

Doug: For the benefit of those tuning in late, even though Michael did not win the last game, there was an error on a question we played in said last game. That might have put him at an unfair disadvantage. Hence the absence of a mark against him.

Let's play a new game -- which starts with this question.

The Big Risk Takers, Poker's Outlaws or the Hot Dice. What was the name of the Nevada-based team on "RollerJam"?

(Michael buzzes in)

Doug: Michael.

Michael: The Hot Dice.

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) Whoever wrote this question must want a raise. (audience laughs) Give 'em a roll, Michael.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: Seven -- but that's a free roll, as you know. So we start with CY$700 in the pot. Next 7 in this round is a bust.

(amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: Now just a note going forward. Michael, we just shuffled the double decision board. Right now, there's no "lose loss". Will, in fairness to you, because of what happened late in the last game, when you win control of the dice, we'll reshuffle the board and have "lose loss" somewhere.

But, Michael, you've got CY$700 in the pot. You may bank the 700 and start a new round -- or gamble and roll the dice again.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I will roll again.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: Durn the luck. Fear not. Still got a lot of game left. Hands back on the buzzers, please. Round 2 question coming.

They said the marriage of Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli would never last -- and they were finally proven right in 2007, when their divorce was finalized. Were they married for more or less than a decade?

(XXXXX buzzes in)

Doug: Michael.

Michael: More than a decade.

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) They married in 1981 -- and separated in 2001. Michael, dice are hot for you.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: And it's a 9 for CY$900. Roll again or bank the nine bills?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I will roll again.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: Well now -- double decision time. Michael, would you like for us to add CY$400 to the pot...

Doug: ...or would you like to take what's hidden in the double 2 space on the board? As you know, if there's cyber-money, we add that much to the pot instead of CY$400. If there's a surprise, we follow the directions. If there's a bust, we're scoreless going into Round 3.

What's your pleasure?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I will go for what's behind the double 2.

Doug: Going for the double 2. What's there?

(ding)

Doug: Double pot, that's what.

Doug: Pot goes up to CY$1800 as we shuffle the board.

(amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: Now, Michael, care to bank the 1800 or roll again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I will roll it one more time.

Doug: The infamous "one more".

(Michael rolls)

Doug: Woah -- close to a 7. Rolled a 6 for CY$2400. Was that really "one more time"?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: Free-zay!

(audience laughs)

Doug: Stopping with CY$2400.

(ding)

Doug: Remember, anything you bank is yours to keep no matter what happens in the game. We're starting Round 3 with this question. This is a long question -- so play carefully.

From 1999 to 2008, the U.S. mint issued a special series of quarters -- commemorating each of our 50 states. Does the tails side of at least one of those quarters depict a foreign monarch?

(Will buzzes in)

Doug: Will.

Will: Yes, one does.

Doug: King Kamehameha I is on the tails side of the Hawaii quarter. You're right. (audience applause) Dice are hot for you the first time in the game. Take your free roll, Will. (as Will rolls, amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: An 8 for CY$800. Will, based on the deal we made before this game started, a "lose loss" has been shuffled into the board. So with that already done, want to bank the CY$800 or roll again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: I'm behind, so I need to keep going. Let's see a YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: Far from a yo. But in the pot, we have yo-leven-hundred. Bank the yo-leven or roll to avoid another seven?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: I'm going to throw them again. Let's double it up with a YO!

Doug: OK, before you do, a cloud went over our solar powered calculator. CY$1200's actually in the pot. Still want to roll?

(Will rolls)

Doug: He does -- and gets close to a yo -- a 10. Up to CY$2200. Bank now and you'd be 200 shy of the lead. Anything other than a 7 could give you the lead.

(audience shouts suggestions)
